Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard has hinted that he could part ways with the club next summer but also refused to rule out the possibility of seeing out the remainder of his career with the west London giants. The Belgium international has been the Blues’ standout performer during the first half of the campaign and he is currently leading their scoring charts with eight goals across all competitions.
A recent report from Mundo Deportivo suggested that Hazard could potentially leave the Blues during the forthcoming transfer window but that does not seem like happening with the Belgian categorically ruling out a mid-season exit. Hazard has not quite managed to recapture the form since the back injury during the previous month and this has somewhat hampered the Blues’ progress in the Premier League.
Maurizio Sarri’s side were just two points adrift of league leaders Manchester City at the start of the current month but a draw and defeat to Everton and Tottenham Hotspur respectively has dropped them seven points adrift. They are now facing a potential battle for the top four rather than the title pursuit with London rivals Arsenal currently just one point behind them for the final Champions League spot.
